There are three new apps available for your iphone and smartphone that will help give you piece of mind when walking home alone, or in a situation where you feel uncomfortable and need assistance. These are great apps for teenagers and college students. I’ve included links to each of the apps so you can see what they do and which one would work best for you or your kids:
Companion App – You connect with a friend who, with their phone, follows your exact location everywhere you go. If you get into trouble they will be alerted and send assistance.
Circle of Six – Allows you to choose up to 6 friends who can follow your whereabouts and assist you if needed.
LifeLine Response – Does the same as the other two apps, but the user has to keep their thumb on the phone the entire time their walking alone. If it’s removed without entering a password, emergency response teams are notified.
